Sync 101: An Interview with Josh Briggs of Terrorbird Media

We are excited to announce a new interview series leading with Sync 101. This fun and informative chat covers topics such as music supervision and sync, while also giving great advice to help get your music considered for much sought after music licensing opportunities!

Play MPE’s Director of Business Development Glenn Mattern spoke with Terrorbird Media’s General Manager (West Coast) and Head of Publishing, Josh Briggs recently, and we are honoured to share his knowledge and expertise with you all.

Watch Sync 101 and learn:

  • How Josh got into sync licensing in the first place.
  • What some of his most exciting placements are.
  • How to get your music in the running for sync placements in film, television, video games and more….

A very big thanks to Terrorbird Media and Josh Briggs for taking the time to chat with us!

More about Josh:

From punk rock bands and college radio to performing rights and music publishing, Josh has spent his career as a steward of independent music. He believes that doing it yourself doesn’t mean doing it alone, and that inclusiveness and understanding are keys to a thriving musical ecosystem. He’s worked with everyone from Bikini Kill to Lord Huron, Oh Sees to Solange, and recently published a Guide to Sync Licensing for The Creative Independent. You can also catch him making ice cream at home, or doling out unsolicited parenting advice via horror movies as co-host of the podcast Mummy & Deaddy.
