It’s that time of year again – the American Songwriter Song Contest is back!
Last year’s winners received music promotion distribution packages from Play MPE to get their award-winning tracks in front of a huge number of industry tastemakers and decision-makers.
There are some big changes for this year’s contest! On top of awarding an overall Grand Prize winner, this year, ASSC is giving away prizes to the First and Second Place winners across the following categories: Americana, Blues, Christian, Country, Folk/Singer-Songwriter, Hip Hop/Rap, Indie, Pop, Rock, and Teen. Play MPE will not only be providing the Grand Prize winner with an extensive music promotion package this year, but all First Place Winners in each category will also receive International Bundles so their winning songs can reach even more tastemakers across the globe!

Every year, the ASSC assembles a stellar lineup of judges – including some massive hit artists, and A&R executives – along with an ever-impressive selection of career-launching prizes. We are talking about $10,000 USD, a feature in American Songwriter Magazine, plus getting your music promoted to tastemakers in radio, music supervision, media, and more – care of Play MPE.
