Are you ready for SXSW?!
One of the biggest and most influential Conference/Showcases on the globe is South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. RANGE Magazine has conjured up a fantastic showcase event, and we are getting in on it!
In mid-March, some of the hippest musicians and industry folks from around the world will descend on that city. There will be a flurry of creative collaboration and presentation – enough to make your head spin (and ache if you partake a little too heartily!)
Team Play MPE is super stoked to announce that we are sponsoring a jam packed lineup of rising talents curated and presented by RANGE Magazine! Six artists will take the stage including Polaris Music Prize winning rapper Haviah Mighty, Indigenous hip-hop duo Snotty Nose Rez Kids, R&B delight Magi Merlin, Indo-Canadian sister duo Cartel Madras (Sub Pop), underground punk-rapper Just John, and Alt Pop/R&B artist, Mauvey (604 Records) for this top-notch showcase.
This official SXSW showcase happens Thursday March 17 at Lucille (77 Rainey St., Austin, TX), a 300-capacity live music venue located downtown in Austin’s historic Rainey Street district. If you’ll be at SXSW, get your green shirt on (just in case), mark your calendars and RSVP with RANGE! And while you’re there, say hello to Play MPE’s Allan Benedict – he’ll be the one high-fiving all the bands.
