We have exciting news to share from our partners at American Songwriter. They have announced the winners of their 2nd Annual Song Contest!
A panel composed of AS staff, screeners and judges (which include big names like Paul Stanley (KISS), Julian Casablancas (The Strokes), Martina McBride (Artist/Songwriter), Ziggy Marley (Artist/Songwriter), Steven Robertson (VP of A&R at Atlantic Records) and Lee Dannay (VP of A&R at Thirty Tigers) have finished their deliberations and chosen the Top 3 Winners!
Drum roll please …
This year’s contest was sponsored by DistroKid, Play MPE (yours truly) and LiveXLive. To view the full list of stellar prizes head here.
The First Prize winner will receive a full-service global music promotion distribution package from Play MPE to promote a single or album with a value up to $4,000. The second and third place winners will also receive packages worth up to $2,000 and $1,000 respectively to promote their winning song to multiple lists/territories! This is just the tip of the iceberg in the list of prizes and exposure each winner receives. Read more on the American Songwriter website.
Congratulations to the Top 3!
We also want to acknowledge the ten Honorable Mentions chosen by the judging panel, and the Top 50 songs from which these winners were selected. We encourage you to take a listen and follow along with all the winners and finalists!
