Building professional music promotion campaigns with Caster is easy. Upload music files, input metadata, add promotional assets, customize your promotional email, and select distribution packages (starting at $250).
Step 1: Sign up
Sign up for Caster here. Next you will receive a Welcome Email where you can sign in and start building your first music promotion! To make promoting and tracking your music as efficient as possible, a MTR radio tracking account is automatically created for you using the same sign in credentials.
Step 2: Upload
Upload mixed & mastered (broadcast-ready) song files (WAV/AIFF) and release artwork. Input release information and metadata. Select the release type (single/ep/album), song versions, (radio edit, clean, explicit, instrumental, album version) and music genre. Choose permissions and enable music curators to contact you.
Step 3: Promote
Select a template in the email builder to create a custom promotional email and choose an attention-grabbing subject line for your first send. Include artwork, promo photo, press release, contact information, links (music video, website) and more. You can also attach up to 5 assets. All promotional releases include 2 free resends which can be updated with your latest radio adds, press quotes, and/or new tour dates within 6 months of the campaign start date.
Step 4: Distribute
Select music promotion packages for the email blast and distribution of the release to industry contacts. Choose packages by market (territory) and format or music genre. Target promotions to radio, media, and industry VIPs. Plus add on global music supervisors, bloggers and/or curators in retail, restaurants and airlines. Or upload your own custom lists of contacts.
Step 5: Summary
View a summary of the promotional release and invoice line items (selected distribution lists) before submitting and checking out. Review all content, assets, and selected distribution packages for accuracy. Changes can be made after payment by contacting support.
Step 6: Export Release to MTR
After finalizing the promotion, click ‘Track Music’ from the “…” drop-down beside the release. Once redirected to MTR, select songs for airplay tracking, choose a start date and purchase a plan. Caster users get 10% off MTR. Track spins with MTR to know when and where songs are gaining traction at radio.
